What you get back

The result is the spoken words of your video as plain text, under the heading Transcript. Copy it, or download it as a .txt file named after your video.

It is one block of text. It has no timestamps, no speaker names, and no subtitle file. If you need captions with timing, use a tool that makes subtitles, because plain text will not line up with the picture.

Get more accurate text

The AI hears the audio track only, so the recording decides the quality. A few habits make the biggest difference.

  • Record with the microphone close to the speaker.
  • Turn music and background noise down or off.
  • Ask people to take turns instead of talking over each other.

After conversion, search the text for names, numbers, and technical terms and check each against the video. Those are the words most likely to come out wrong.

Video over 200 MB, or need timestamps?
