- Sceneform
- Add text to video
Put the right words in the right frame.
Add a title, explain a detail, or label a product in Sceneform Studio. Place editable text over your footage and choose when it appears. Preview the words in motion before you export the video.
Studio runs in a desktop or laptop browser, not on a phone.

What you can create
Style each text layer
Choose a font, size, color, and alignment. Use the available text presets as a starting point, then adjust the details.
Control when words appear
Position the text item on the timeline and adjust its duration. Show an introduction briefly or keep a label across several shots.
Keep the message readable
Use a text background, outline, or shadow when the footage needs more contrast. Position words away from the main action.
From your idea to finished content
Add your footage
Open Studio and add your video. Move the playhead to the moment where the text should begin.
Insert and style the text
Choose the text tool and replace its starting text. New text starts in lowercase, so change Text case if you need capitals. Adjust typography, placement, and contrast in the text settings.
Set the timing and review
Move or extend the text item on the timeline. Play the sequence and check readability before exporting.
Two text editing checklists
Use these checks while editing your own video in Studio.
Introduce a tutorial
Add a short opening title. Keep it clear of the demonstration. Leave enough reading time before the first instruction.
Label a product feature
Place a concise feature label beside the product. Show it during the relevant close-up. Check contrast throughout the shot.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I choose when the text appears?
- Yes. Move the text item on the timeline and change its duration to control its start and end.
- Can I change the font and color?
- Yes. Text settings include font family, size, style, alignment, and color. Background, outline, and shadow controls help with contrast.
- Is adding text the same as adding subtitles?
- Text overlays work well for titles and labels. Subtitles follow speech and use a separate caption workflow in Studio.
- Can I correct text already inside my footage?
- A new text layer does not edit lettering embedded in the source video. It adds editable words over the footage.
