Rotate video

Turn the footage to the angle you need.

Correct a sideways clip or give footage a deliberate tilt in Studio. Rotate the selected item, then check how it fits the canvas. Adjust dimensions and placement so the finished frame looks intentional.

Studio runs in a desktop or laptop browser, not on a phone.

What you can create

Turn a clip by 90 degrees

Use the rotation control's clockwise button for a quarter turn. Preview the result before changing the rest of the composition.

Enter a specific angle

The rotation field accepts a numeric angle. Use it for a small correction or a deliberate diagonal composition.

Adjust the frame after rotation

Rotation changes the item's orientation inside the canvas. Adjust its dimensions, position, or canvas size to handle exposed edges.

From your idea to finished content

  1. Open the clip in Studio

Add your footage and select its timeline item. Open the media settings and find Rotation.

  2. Set the angle

Use the 90-degree clockwise button or enter an angle. Check the subject's orientation in the preview.

  3. Refine the composition

Adjust the item size and position, or change the canvas dimensions. Review the full clip before exporting.

Two rotation editing checklists

Check the canvas as well as the selected clip after every rotation.

Correct sideways footage

Rotate the clip by 90 degrees. Set the canvas to the intended orientation. Check that the frame includes the complete subject.

Create a slight tilt

Enter a small rotation angle. Enlarge and reposition the clip if edges become visible. Check important details near the corners.
