Why convert WMV to GIF?

Reuse a short Windows Media clip as a looping image. The output has a 480-pixel width with proportional height.

  • Why leave WMV. Macs, phones and many upload forms do not handle WMV.
  • Why use GIF. GIF suits short reactions, previews, and loops in chats and docs.
  • What you get. The GIF loops continuously at 10 frames per second. It is 480 pixels wide, and its height follows the source proportions. A GIF has no sound. Upload a short clip, because the converter has no trim control.
  • Qualité. Converting to GIF lowers the quality. A GIF has at most 256 colors per frame, so smooth color changes can show stripes. The converter makes it 480 pixels wide at 10 frames per second, with no sound, and long clips make large files.
  • Your rights. Convert only files you own or have permission to use.
